Our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship among the youth of Meghalaya continues to strengthen. We are deeply honoured to partner with PRIME (State Startup Incubator of Meghalaya) and the State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs, Meghalaya (SRCDA), to mentor and bolster their invaluable initiatives.
Key Highlights from Our Recent Visit (Jan to Mar 2025):
During our recent engagement in Meghalaya, we actively participated in several pivotal programs aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem:
Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge 5.0

We proudly served as a jury member for this significant challenge, contributing to the selection of 75 promising start-up ideas that are now embarking on their incubation journey.
Student Development Program on Entrepreneurship at Tirot Sing Memorial College, Mairang

We conducted a comprehensive entrepreneurship program for over 75 enthusiastic students. The session covered foundational concepts, including idea generation, diverse business models, and an overview of current industry trends.
Faculty Development Program on Entrepreneurship at Tirot Sing Memorial College, Mairang

We led an insightful workshop for faculty members, focusing on effective strategies to facilitate and integrate entrepreneurship initiatives into student programs, thereby building local capacity.
Workshop for “Entrepreneurs with Disability” (Organized by SRCDA)

We participated in a specialized workshop designed to equip mentors with the best practices for guiding and supporting entrepreneurs with disabilities. These individuals have received crucial financial grants to launch and expand their ventures, and effective mentorship is key to their success.
Empowering Entrepreneurs with Disabilities: A Pilot Project
In a landmark collaboration, PRIME and SRCDA have collaboratively launched a groundbreaking pilot project dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs with disabilities. Under this initiative, eight deserving entrepreneurs with disabilities from Meghalaya are receiving comprehensive financial assistance and continuous mentorship to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations.
We are profoundly humbled to contribute our expertise to this transformative initiative, supporting these emerging businesses to scale and thrive. The anticipated success of this initial cohort will be instrumental in expanding this vital program, enabling us to extend support to even more individuals with disabilities in future cohorts.
