My visit to Andhra Pradesh was my third trip as part of my youth empowerment project.

The workshops in Andhra Pradesh have given me valuable insights into the different needs and challenges of the rural communities, and how VidyaMohan can adapt to them. I met with rural micro-businesses (women and people with disabilities) in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, as well as youth and small business owners.

A quick summary of the trip:

  • One on one coaching to micro and small business owners in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam (6 businesses)
  • Career workshop for unemployed youth in Dwarkanagar and Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam (120 students)
  • Developing an entrepreneurship training program for rural micro-businesses with Grameena Incubation Center. The program empowers women, persons with disabilities and youth from the tribal and economically weaker sections to launch micro-businesses

A big thank you to Bhagvatulla Charitable Trust and Grameena Incubation Center for organizing and facilitating the sessions.
