Odisha | 11th Oct 2022 to 04th Jan 2023
I kickstarted our mission from Odisha – India’s best kept secret. I spent 86 days in Odisha. This was my first ever trip to the state and I am really grateful to the people of Odisha for their help and hospitality.
As my first trip, my visit and work in Odisha served as a validation of my plan and vision for VidyaMohan.org. The experience and learnings from this trip will help me in planning all forthcoming trips and fulfilling the vision.
Meghalaya | Apr to June 2023
After Odisha, my second destination was Meghalaya, one of the most beautiful places in the world. This was my first visit to North-East India.
I was fortunate to meet and interact with some really amazing people throughout my stay – students, travellers, entrepreneurs and volunteers. After 2 months of travel, I am re-energized to start working on the next phase of my youth development project.
Andhra Pradesh | 30th Nov 2023 to 31st Jan 2024
The visit to Andhra Pradesh was an immense learning experience for me. Along with youth empowerment workshops, I got an opportunity to work with women entrepreneurs from the rural, tribal communities. That gave me valuable insights into the different needs and challenges of the rural communities, and how VidyaMohan can adapt to them.
Maharashtra | 09th June to 18th July 2024
Our recent visit focused on supporting local small businesses in Akola, Nagpur, and Aurangabad. Through interactions with business owners and industry associations, we identified a critical need for digital skills training among small businesses.
To address this, we plan to develop a targeted skill development program. Additionally, we conducted career and entrepreneurship development workshops for over 150 students, aligning with our commitment to youth job creation.
Meghalaya | Jan to Mar 2025
During our recent visit to Meghalaya, we actively engaged in key programs focused on nurturing local entrepreneurship. This included serving as a jury member for the Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge 5.0, conducting student and faculty development programs on entrepreneurship at Tirot Sing Memorial College, and participating in a mentor workshop for “Entrepreneurs with Disability” organized by SRCDA.
Our efforts also included a ground-breaking pilot project in collaboration with PRIME and SRCDA, providing financial assistance and mentorship to eight entrepreneurs with disabilities.
